Peer Review Process
All papers that are submitted to Psyhealthica: Journal of Health Psychology must fit the journal’s Focus and Scope and adhere to its Author Guidelines. The journal prioritizes innovative work in research and applied psychology, and welcomes submissions that offer original contributions to the discipline.
Researchers must strictly observe Ethical Standards, especially when their studies involve interventions or experiments that could influence participants’ psychological states. Therefore, any manuscript describing clinical interventions or experiments must provide proof of Ethical Clearance.
Manuscripts should follow the conventions of scientific writing and comply with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition. Authors may use reference-management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero with the APA 7th Edition style.
Submissions must be written in English and demonstrate sound grammar; Britannia Proofreading Service will handle proofreading.
Authors must confirm that their work has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. To ensure originality, every manuscript will be screened with plagiarism-detection software. Authors are encouraged to check similarity using Turnitin™ or iThenticate™ before submission; the editorial team will conduct its own check, and manuscripts showing more than 15% similarity (Turnitin™ result) will be rejected.
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process: authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. After an initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief, suitable papers are sent to at least two independent reviewers; a third reviewer may be consulted if necessary. The Editor makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection, and this decision is conclusive.
The Editor-in-Chief (and, when needed, the Handling Editor and Editorial Board) decides which accepted articles are published in specific issues, taking into account the acceptance date, authors’ geographic diversity, and thematic balance.
